International Cargo Centre

ICC is strategically important for the freight forwarding division within Xpediator PLC, as a cross-dock facility, due to its excellent geographical location to the ports of Felixstowe, London Gateway and Dover, as well as a distribution hub servicing London and the home counties.

Furthermore, ICC has an ETSF licence (Custom bond) and is accredited to AEO (S) level, a very important accreditation for the cross-docking of uncleared shipments in relation to sea freight services and potential European Union freight, in light of BREXIT, in whichever form this takes. The Rainham site is also pivotable, not just for the UK freight forwarding businesses but also the European offices, who each control high volumes of freight to and from the UK.

ICC’s facility has 8 raised loading bays, with an additional two bays at floor level, allowing for direct loading and/or unloading from the rear of the trailer or from the sides. The facility has an array of warehouse handling equipment suitable for maximum lift weights of 4,500 kgs.

Additionally, the company’s overall floor space is 35000 sq ft with racking to increase capacity, including 5000 sq ft of ERTS, all of which is monitored and alarmed using state of the art HD CCTV Monitors, along with a second-level general patrol system.

Further, we operate a one-way traffic flow system, to manage the volume of vehicles on and around the facility while ensuring our marshalling areas are free from congestion at all times.
