Import Services AEO status passes re-assessment
We are delighted to announce that Import Services has received confirmation that their AEO criteria continue to be met in all areas covered following the reassessment of its AEO status.
AEO status is an internationally recognised quality mark that the company’s:
- role in the international supply chain is secure
- customs controls and procedures are efficient and meet EU standards
An AEO status customs simplification (AEOC) status is necessary if you want to qualify for:
- moving goods in temporary storage between different member states
- a notification waiver when making an entry in a declarant’s records
- a 70% reduction in a business’s deferment account guarantee
- undertaking centralised clearance (when available)
- completing self-assessment (when implemented)
Mark Lee, Commercial Manager at Import Services comments, “This is fantastic recognition for our port-centric logistics business which continues to be a leader in retail supply chain services, whilst also demonstrating how well our staff report on, monitor and comply with customs processes. Everyone involved should be very proud of themselves.”
