Import Services extends partnership with Srixon for further 3 years

We are delighted to announce that Global golf brand Srixon has extended its 12-year warehousing and logistics partnership with Import Services for a further three years.

The extension ensures Import Services continues to provide Srixon Sports Europe with port-centric logistics and warehousing activities from its Southampton base, handling order processing and distribution of clubs, bags, balls and accessories.

Srixon, owned by Sumitomo Rubber Industries Ltd is one of the largest golf equipment manufacturers in the world, positioned at the forefront of golf technology developed over the past 80 years.

Srixon cite the unique port-centric logistics location and bonded status of the warehouse as key points of difference assisting both retail supply chain logistics services and cash flow. Additional benefits gained include speed to market and the innovations developed in partnership with Import Services, including fast-track operations, 24/7 information flow, the installation of dedicated conveyors to help streamline products arriving at the warehouse facility and purpose-designed racking to fit Srixon’s goods.

Mike Thomas, Client Services Director with Import Services, commented

“Srixon has evolved over the years and our solid partnership allows us to continue to work closely, adapting processes to meet the dynamic needs of our Client. We are thrilled to continue with Srixon, extending our service commitments beyond 12 years into a new and exciting period based at Import Services’ expanding Southampton container port site.

Mike added

“We initially secured the Srixon partnership by improving speed to market significantly and providing CFSP services, which enable cash flow benefits from holding stock under bond, deferring VAT and Duty until after the product is sold,’’

“Forward thinking, fast-paced businesses such as Srixon, recognise the edge gained by moving products to market swiftly and meeting the demands of discerning customers.

“Srixon is also set to benefit from a consolidation of services at our expanding flagship DC adjacent to the container berths at Southampton port, which will be in full swing from next season, driving a game-changer for our Clients.”
